Pacific Dogwood Ink
Dogwood fruits and bark contain colors for the dyer and ink maker. The fruits of our native dogwood are red, but the ink is a smoky-brown with grey-green tones. The timing has to be just right and the ladder just tall enough to harvest a decent quantity of the fruits, so supplies of this shade are very limited.
This is a natural companion for Cascara Berry Green or Fennel Top.
Our inks can be used for calligraphy, drawing, painting, or staining wood. You might discover even more uses once you get to know them!
