Walnut Brown Ink

from $9.00

You really can’t have an ink company without producing some amount of walnut ink. It’s a classic ink and for good reason. Walnut husks are ready to dye anything, anytime. We reserve most husks for dyeing cotton, but you don’t need to set aside many for a batch of ink. Husks are fermented prior to use to bring out the deepest colors.

A special thanks goes out to a couple of neighbors that gave me access to their old homestead walnut trees.

Our inks can be used for calligraphy, drawing, painting, or staining wood. You might discover even more uses once you get to know them!
